Katie Hedley is a professional harpist with over a decade of experience. Her performances include the BBC, Derby Cathedral, Derby Assembly Rooms, The Dorchester and the Savile Club in Mayfair.
From classical and Romantic repertoire to jazz, blues and contemporary Pop, Rock and alternative arrangements, Katie shapes the music around your occasion. She holds ARSM and DipABRSM performance diplomas awarded by ABRSM.
Alongside solo performances on a full-sized concert or semi-grand pedal harp, Katie is available for orchestral, ensemble and other live performance work.

Welcome your guests, accompany your ceremony and bring a relaxed atmosphere to the drinks reception or wedding breakfast. Familiar favourites sit alongside classical pieces, with musical choices discussed before your event.
Katie has performed at hotels, stately homes and castles, including the Petersham Hotel in Richmond and the Winter Fae Ball at The Renaissance at Kelham Hall. Her orchestral experience includes Fauré’s Requiem.

Where does Katie perform?
Katie is based in Derbyshire and regularly performs across the East and West Midlands, including Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. Travel of around 75–90 minutes is usual. Cheshire, Birmingham, the Cotswolds and other UK locations may be considered individually, with travel expenses agreed in advance.
How long does setup take?
Please allow around 20–30 minutes for unloading and setup. Access to the performance area must be suitable for a pedal harp. Share any steps, slopes or challenging surfaces before booking.
What if the venue has stairs?
Stairs should ideally be avoided. Katie cannot manoeuvre the harp on stairs alone. Where unavoidable, an assistant with experience handling the harp must be arranged in advance, with any additional transport or porterage costs agreed separately.
Can Katie perform outdoors?
Outdoor performances need suitable weather, protection from the elements and a firm, level, dry surface. Gravel, mud, wet ground and uneven terrain are unsuitable. Please discuss the proposed area before booking.
Can the harp move between rooms?
Relocation between nearby performance areas may be possible by prior arrangement, depending on access and surfaces. Roaming performances are not offered.
Can Katie play our first dance or a special request?
First dances are available on request as an additional service. Extra attendance and any bespoke arrangement carry an additional fee, agreed in advance. Include your song ideas in the enquiry.
Are there standard finish times or late fees?
Finish times are agreed for each booking. Later finishes or extra performance time may incur an additional fee, agreed before the event.
Is a stage, PA or lighting included?
No stage is needed, just a small, stable performance area. Katie’s solo harp booking does not include PA, stage lighting or a DJ playlist. Discuss any additional production requirements with Immersive Elements.
Is Katie insured, and how far ahead can we book?
Katie has £1 million public liability cover. She welcomes advance bookings and may be able to accommodate an event with as little as one week’s notice, depending on the date, venue and requirements.
