Matt is a Leeds-based singer and guitarist with over 20 years of experience, bringing soulful live music to weddings, private celebrations and corporate events.
From heartfelt ceremony songs and relaxed drinks receptions to lively evening parties, Matt shapes each performance around the people in the room. Fingerstyle guitar and expressive vocals give quieter moments a personal feel; looping, beatboxing and percussion build the energy when it is time to dance.
His repertoire brings together pop, rock, soul, blues, country and familiar classics, with favourite songs and special requests discussed before your event.

THE FINER
DETAILS.
Where is Matt based, and where can he perform?
Matt is based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and welcomes UK-wide and international bookings. Travel and any accommodation are quoted for your venue. Finishes that would mean arriving home after 2am may require accommodation.
How long does Matt perform?
The starting package includes 2 × 45-minute sets. You can also discuss 3 × 45 or 4 × 45-minute sets, or a wedding ceremony and two-hour drinks reception. Extended formats are quoted individually.
What does ceremony music include?
Usually 15–20 minutes of instrumental music as guests take their seats, followed by music for the entrance, register signing and exit. Everything is tailored to your ceremony, with songs agreed in advance.
Can we choose songs or request a first dance?
Yes. Browse the repertoire, heart your favourites or add a request. Matt can perform a live first dance and is happy to learn up to two new songs by agreement; further requests can be quoted based on the arrangement required.
Are sound and lighting included?
The standard package includes a PA system and basic lighting. Matt’s setup includes two 350W speakers and a 2000W subwoofer. A smaller battery-powered system can be used for outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions, subject to the event requirements.
What space and power are needed?
Please allow a performance area of at least 2.5m × 1.5m and one 13A power socket for the standard setup. A compact battery system can be used for suitable outdoor events. Please discuss access, sound limits and any restricted space in advance.
How long does setup take?
Please allow around one hour for setup and soundcheck. Arrival and access arrangements are agreed before booking.
Is music available between sets?
Yes. Matt can play background playlists through his PA via Bluetooth, using his own tablet or a client device. This is playlist music rather than a manned DJ service.
Does Matt have insurance and PAT certificates?
Matt holds public liability insurance up to £1 million and has PAT test certificates, which can be supplied for your venue.
How far in advance can we enquire?
Matt generally prefers enquiries within 18 months of the event. All dates remain subject to availability.
